Who is Arun Lal?

Arun Lal is a 32-year-old Mumbai-based web designer and developer. He is also the founder of Retro Reels Of Cricket History. Before launching Retro Reels, Arun always had an interest in cricket but didn’t find it easy to get into. He discovered retro reels of cricket history at the age of 22 and it helped him to connect with his childhood passion in a new way.

The creator is a popular online cricket blog that covers all sports stories and articles related to cricket, cricketers, IPL news, World Cup Cricket, and other cricket-related information from all over the globe. Cric Gator blog is also one of the top cricket blogs in India.

Arun joined Instagram in 2015 and soon started developing an interest in retro reels of cricket history. After working at a couple of companies, he quit his job and started Retro Reels of Cricket History full-time in late 2017.

What are Retro Reels Of Cricket History?

Retro Reels Of Cricket History is a website dedicated to replaying cricket videos from the past. Similar to how other retro reel sites are structured, we’ve arranged a selection of videos according to the following decades: 1920s – 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
We’ve also got a section dedicated to exploring the sport’s rich history and culture so that visitors can learn more about the sport beyond the current day. How was the idea for Retro Reels Of Cricket History conceived?

It’s hard to say exactly where the idea for Retro Reels Of Cricket History came from, but I was always interested in nostalgia. I’ve always been a huge fan of retro reels, especially older movies and shows. That’s when a particular video would pop up on my Instagram feed, and it would instantly make me feel nostalgic. I wanted to recreate the feeling that I got by seeing older cricket videos. I wanted to develop a website that would recreate the same experience that I got from seeing those videos. So that’s what Retro Reels Of Cricket History emerged from.

Then we move on to cricket’s rich history and culture. There are a few articles on the site that explore cricket’s rich history from different angles – from the sport’s origins in various parts of the world to myths and legends surrounding the sport.
